St. Hyacinth's Church and School,  Detroit, Michigan    1910

1910--Among the new parishes of Detroit is that of St. Hyacinth's, which was established in1907 by Rev. Sylvester I. Kolkiewicz. Ground was purchased on Frederick and McDougal streets, and upon this site a beautiful combination building has been erected, serving as church and school for the present.

This parish, although in existence but two years, is destined to be one of the important Polish congregations in the city.

Rev. Sylvester I. Kolkiewicz has been in charge since its foundation. The school is directed by the Felician Sisters.  (page 41)
