TEAGARDEN, Mary Argabrite, of Weirton, WV, passed away Monday, November 10, 2003, at Wyngate Inn, an assisted living community in Weirton. Mary was born October 24, 1919, at Knob Fork, WV, a daughter of the late David W. and Carrie Brookover Argabrite. She was a teacher by profession, having earned her Masters Degree in Education from West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. She taught in the Hancock County schools for twenty- five years at Liberty and Cove schools. Mary was an excellent teacher and well liked by her peers. She was a member of the West Virginia Retired Teachers Association, and the Agusta Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Mary was a Christian by faith and a member of the Hundred Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Teagarden; two brothers, Clay and Dale Argabrite; and a sister- in-law, Eileen Argabrite. She is survived by her sister, Roma Lee McConnell of Wheeling, WV; a sister-in-law, Vivian Argabrite; five nephews, Wesley and Kevin McConnell of Wheeling, William Argabrite and his wife, Cathy of Washington, WV, Dave Argabrite and his wife, Jane of Vienna, WV, and Joseph Argabrite and his wife, Elaine of Radford, VA; a niece, Connie Schmidt and her husband, Steve of Morgantown, WV; and several great nieces and nephews. At Mary's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Friends are invited to attend graveside services at the Greenlawn Cemetery, New Matinsville, WV, on Thursday, November 13, 2003, at 11:00 a.m., with Dr. Roger Smith officiating. Friends may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 300A Scott Avenue, Morgantown, WV 26505; or to the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
