A search of the U. S. telephone and address listings at Ancestry.com show 25 listings for the Blackhart spelling and 4 listings for the Blackheart spelling. Somehow, all these people are most likely related. It is not determined yet what the ethnicity of the Blackhart family is. There are family stories floating about that attribute the family to being from any one of several countries in Europe. However, no documented proof of origin has been found yet. I'd like to thank the contributors (Bill Jewell, Donna Meszaros and Patty Stealey) for their contributions to this site. By working together, perhaps we can create the Blackhart Family Tree. There is a Blackhart mailing list that was set up to discuss the Blackhart surname (any where and any time period).
