of Peter Kivett
of Randolph County, North Carolina
In the name of God Amen, I Peter Kivett Senior of the county of Randolph
and state of North Carolina, Being weak in body but of sound Memmory (Blessed be
god) Do this third day of October and in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven
hundred and Ninety three Do Make and Publish this my Last Will and Testament in
Manner and form following (That is to say)
First, I give and Devise unto My son Henry Kivett, Two hundred acres of Land
to be laid of to him where he now Dwelleth one hundred acres to be laid of the
North side of the Tract I now dwell on, which was granted unto me by the Earl of
Granville, the other hundred acres of Land was Given and granted unto me by the
state of North Carolina which I give and devise unto my said son Henry Kivett in
Fee simple for Ever, Also I give and Devise unto My son Peter Kivett Two Two
Hundred acres of Land in fee simple for Ever To be Laid of to him where he now
dwelleth, Seventy five acres of Land to be taken of the East side of the Tract I
Purchased of Henry Linderman, and one hundred which was Granted unto me by the
state of North Carolina and Twenty Five acres of Land on the south East End of a
Tract of Land Granted unto me by the state of North Carolina, Item I give and
devise unto my son John Kivett Two Hundred Acres of Land to be laid out him
where he now dwelleth (in manner following) seventy five acres of Land to be
Taken of the West side of the Tract I Purchased of Henry Linderman Jure Line on
the North side and Twenty five more to be laid of to him on the south side of
the said Tract I Purchased of The said Henry Lindorman, In fee simple for Ever,
Also I give and Devise unto my son Jacob Kivett one Hundred and Fifty Acres of
Land in fee simple for Ever,
To be laid out to him (In Manner and form following) One hundred Acres of Land
to be laid of on the West Side of the Tract I now dwell on on which was granted
unto me by the State of North Carolina And fifty Acres more to be laid off to
him on the South side of the said Tract, Item I give and Devise unto my beloved
wife anna Barbery Kivitt one hundred and fifty Two acres of Land the remaining
part, during her Natril Life and after her Decease, I give and devise the same
to my son Jacob Kivett in fee simple for Ever, Also I Give and Devise unto my
daughter Charrity Foust five pounds to be paid out of my Movable Properties,
after the decease of my beloved wife Anna Barbery Kivitt, Item I give and bequeathe unto my Daughter Elizabeth
Scotton the sum of five pounds To be paid to her as afore said also I give and
Devise unto My Daughter barbery Foust five pounds to be paid unto her as afore
said, Item I give and Bequeath unto my daughter Ann Margaret Wolfe the sum of
five pounds as above mentioned; Item I give and devise to my said Dear and
beloved wife Anna Barbery Kivitt All my Personal Estate of movable Properties
Dureing her natril life and after her decease The same to be Divided Among all
my Children above Mentioned; And I make and ordain my said sons Henry Kivitt and
John Kivitt my Executors of this my will, In trust for the Intents and Purposes,
in this my will Contained,
In witness where of I the said Peter Kivitt have Hereunto set my hand and Afixed
my seal the day and year first above written
