The subject of this sketch came to this state at the age of 12 years with her father's family and settled in Edgar county, seven miles south of Paris. She was three times married, first to Robert Craig. To them were born two children, Robert and Mary Ann, the latter dying shortly after her marriage to John Handy. Her second marriage was to a man named Stevens who lived but a few days. Her third husband was H. L. Rout, he having died in Marshall about 25 years ago. She is survived by one son, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a large neumber of relatives and friends.

In early life she gave her heart to God and united with the Christian church and held to that faith until death.

The funeral services were held at Ohio church on Sunday by Rev. J. C. Craig, after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery nearby.
