I would like to thank Allen Bond for the following information which he has generously provided. Allen is a Ketchabaw descendant and researcher. He has spent hundreds of hours researching the family line. Below is just the information from which I descend. Abraham was the second son of Henrich Katzenbach and Eva De Voe/De Foe, Loyalists who fled to Quebec during the Revolutionary War. Abraham stayed in NY and fought with the Vermont Militia. He married Anna Elizabeth Rosenberger daughter of Jacob Rosenberger. Henry and Eva's Children settled throughout Ontario, Eastern Quebec, New Hampshire, and parts of Michigan. Their descendants now cross the entire North American continent.
Henry and Eva were married 12 Oct 1759 in Kinderhook, NY, they both died in 1815 and are buried at Sorel, Quebec. Henry is noted as being nearly 100 years old at the time of his death. Henrick's parents may have been Christoph Katzenbach, based on his eldest son's name, and his mother's name may have been Alida based on the name of his second daughter. Eva's parents were Abraham De Voe/De Foe and Maria Catharina Reiffenberger.

Abraham was born about 1762 in Albany, NY he and Anna Elizabeth Rosenberger were married about 1783 in NY. They lived near the border of Vermont, he joined the Vermont Militia during the Revloutionary War. It must have been hard for a son to go against his father and brothers to fight on the opposite side. Henry stayed loyal to the King and fought with Christopher in the Kings Royal Regiment.

Jacob married Eleanor Sullivan and had 9 children, he had 9 more children with his second wife Susan Ammerman. 16 of Jacob's children reached adulthood. Descendants of John Ketchabaw 1814-1895 John married Abigail Ammerman, younger sister of his father's second wife.
