In the name of God Amen The tenthe day of July in the yere of our Lord god one thowsand six hundred twentye and seaven I William Bache of Cleobury Mortimer in the Countie of Salop and Dioces of Hereford blacksmithe beinge sicke and weake of bodye, but of whole and perfecte memory (god be praysed) doe ordayne and make this my last will and Testamente in manner and forme followinge (that is to say) First I Commend my Sowle into the handes of Almightie God my maker, hooping assuredly by the onely merites of Jesus Christ my Saviour to be made Partaker of lyffe everlastinge And I Commend my body to the earthe whereof it was made Item I gyve and bequeethe unto the poore of the parishe of Cleobury Mortimer aforesaid, the som of Twentye shillinges, to be payd to the said poore by and at the discretion of my executor undernamed within the space of one yere next after my decease
Item I gyve and bequeethe unto Ann Bache my now wief All such howsehold stuffe as I had and received with her aboutes the tyme wee were maryed togeather wch. are now in my occupacion,
Item I gyve unto the said Ann Bache my wief one dripping panne
Item I gyve to Mary Mooreley my daughter in lawe one lytle Coffer
The Residew of All and singuler my goodes Cattells and Chattells moveable and unmoveable unbequeethed, my debtes payd my funerall expenses performed, Amd these my legacyes in this my last will and Testament fulfilled dischardged and payd I gyve and bequeethe to John Bache my sonne And I doe constitute ordayne and make the said John Bache my son my sole and lawful executor, And I doe hereby revoke, disanull and make voyd all former wills and deedes of gaifte whatsoever, And I doe intreat my loving Freendes John Byrche of Mylson gen. and Richard Farmer of Cleobury Mortimer aforesaid yeoman to be my overseers to see this my will performed and observed with effecte, In wittnes whereof, I have hereunto putt my hand and seale the day and yere first abovewritten

these are my debts due unto me;
Item due unto me from Hewe Hodgetes of Hereford �1 19s 6d and to be payde the on half at cristmas and the other parte at lente followinge
Item due unto me from Humfry Bryan of the parrishe of Bayton the som of �4 2s beinge due five yeares
Item due unto me from Wm. Sutton of the parrish of Bayton the som of 30s 6d and for the rente of the ground from the puryficasion of our blessed virgin mary unto this time
Item due unto me from Arthur Carpentur 12s
Item due from Richard Beny of the parrishe of Biford the som of 11s
Item due from John Simkins 3s 4d
Item due from John Ferrow and John Sheaparde of Mansell the som of four shillings
Item due from Thomas Cassall of Lemster the som of 6s
