In the name of god Amen the fowerteenthe day of November in the ninth yeare of the Raigne of our soveraigne Lord Charles by the grace of god kinge of England Scotland Fraunce and Ireland defender of the faithe etc. and in the yeare of our Lord 1633 I John Bach of Cleobury Mortimer within the Countie of Salop and dioces of Hereford Sithsmithe Sicke and weake in bodie but of good and perfecte memory praise be given to god for the same, make this my Testament declaringe therin my last will in maner and forme followinge, first I Comend my Soule to allmightie god my maker and redeemer hopinge through the merittes of Jesus Christ our saviour to be made partaker of everlastinge life, and my bodie to the Earth whereof it was made,
Item I give and bequeathe to Marie Bache my wife my dwelling howse with the appertinaunces and all howses and Buildinges gardens Backsides and landes thereunto belonginge which I lately purchased and was Edward Dollmans Landes To have and to hould the same during hir naturall life, and after hir deceasse my will is and I give and bequeathe the said howses Buildinges gardens Backsides and landes with the appertinances un to John Bache my sonne, To have and to hould to him and to the heires of his bodie lawfully begotten and for want of such heires to my right heires for ever
Item I give and bequeathe to the said Joyce Bache my daughter Threescore powndes of lawfull Englishe monie to be payed unto hir at the feast of the nativitie of Sacre theologie professore. John Baptist next ensuenge
Item whereas the said Joyce Bache my daughter hath an Estate for terme of hir naturall life in revercion after Marie Bache my said wife of and in my said dwelling howse and other appertinances as by one Indenture of lease therof made at large appeareth my will thereofre is that yf she the said Joyce Bache will release and deliver up hir said estate to my said sonne John Bache, then I give and bequeath to hir the somme of fortie powndes of lawfull Englishe money more to be payed unto hir within one yeare next after she shall deliver up hir said Estate as aforesaid and yf she soe doe my will further is that my said sonne John Bache shall give and pay unto hir the said Joyce Bache the somme of Tenne powndes more Immediately after the deceasse of Marie Bache my said wife,
Item I give and bequeathe unto my said sonne John Bache and his assignes all my estate right and Title which I have by force of one Indenture of lease of the demise and graunt of Sir Frauncis Lacon knight of in and to my shopp neere adioyninge to my said dwellinge howse To have and to hould to him and his assignes for and duringe all the terme and time yet to Come and unexpired in the said Indenture mencioned Provided that yf Marie Bache my said wife doe followe my trade of Sithmakinge with workemen then my will is that Marie Bache my said wife shall have and hould the said shop and the tooles therin during hir life
Item I give and bequeath to my said sonne John Bache all my Tooles that belonge to my Trade except my said wife doe followe the said trade as aforesaid then my will is that she shall have the use of them during hir life and after hir deceasse to remaine to my said sonne John Bache,
Item my will is that yf my said daughter Joyce Bache doe refurs and will not release hir said Estate unto my said sonne John Bache as aforesaid then I give and bequeath unto him the somme of Twentie powndes of lawfull Englishe money and a firkin full of steele beinge in the shopp
Item I give and bequeathe unto my said sonne John Bache all my Table bordes frames Benches stooles and formes thereunto belonginge, but my will is that they shall there remaine to the use of my said wife duringe hir life
Item I give and bequeathe all the rest of my goodes whatsoever within my saif howse to my said wife my said sonne and my said daughter equally to be devided amongst them, and my will further is that my said goodes shall be devided in three partes and my said sonne to have his Choyse first, and for the same to give to my said wife and daughter Twentie shillinges a peece
Item I give and bequeathe to John Bach my apprentice or servaunt the somme of five powndes of lawfull Englishe money to be payed unto him when he shall accomplishe the age of Twentie fower yeares, yf he Continewe and dwell so longe with my said wife and sonne, Item I give and bequeathe to Elizabethe Grime five shillinges,
Item I give and bequeath to John Piper Tenne shillinges
Item I give and bequeathe to the poore of the parishe of Cleobury Mortimer aforesaid the some of fortie shillinges to be sett for the by the overseers for the poore of the said parishe and the use thereof to remaine to the said poore for ever,
Item all the rest of my goodes Cattels & Chattels whatsoever unbequeathed my debtes and funerall expences first being payed and discharged I give and bequeath to Marie Bache my said wife who I doe ordayne and make my sole executrixe to execute this my last will and Testament utterly revokinge all other former willes by me at any time heretofore made I (sic) witnes hereof I have hereunto put my hand and seale the day and yeare aforesaid in the presence of the witnesses whose names are subscribed: John Wellings, John Piper, Jasper Dudlicke, John Bache
vicesimo die Novembris 1633 in loco Consilij coram venerabili et egregio viro Willimo Skyner legum doctore Commiss. etc. probatum fuit huiusmodi testamentum iuramento Mariae Bach relictae et executricis in dicto testamento nominatae Cui commissa fuit et est Administracio omnium et singulorum bonorum etc. Salvo tum iure cuiuscumque etc. Et exhibuit inventarium extendens ad summam �160
