In the name of god Amen The one and Twentythe day of February 1625 I Thomas Burraston of the Woodhowse in the Countie of Salop: yeoman beinge weake of bodye but of whole and perfect memorye God be praysed, doe ordaine and make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme followinge (That is to say) First I Comend my Sowle into the hands of Almightie God my maker hopinge Assuredlye through the merittes of Jesus Chrsit my Saviour to be made partaker of everlasting lyfe And I bequeathe my bodye to the earthe whereof it is made
Item I give and bequeathe to John Burraston my son the Som. of Twenty Powndes
Item I give and bequeathe to Thomas Burraston my Son the Som. of Twenty Powndes which said som. of �xl lyethe in my Cossen John Hills hand
Item I gyve and bequeathe to my sayd son Thomas Burraston a lambe
Item I gyve and bequeathe to Ales Hemminge my maid now dwelling with me a Lambe yf she do stay till my deceasse
Item I gyve and bequeathe to my Godchildren xijd a peece
All the rest of my goodes Cattells and Chattells moveable and unmoveable my debtes payd my funerall expenses fulfilled I give and bequeathe to Elynor Burraston my wief And I doe make the sayd Elinor Burraston my wief my true sole and Lawfull executrix truly to execute this my last and will (sic) and Testament with effect Also my will is that the sayd Elonor my wief shall have the interest of the fyve and fortie powndes which my Cossen John Hill owethe me wherof the soms. and legacies above bequeathed to my two sons are parte duringe the tuyme of her widdowhead In wittnes Hereof I have hereunto putt my hand and seale dated the day and yere first above written

Notes

The Woodhouse was extra-parochial and there is no record of the burial of Thomas Burraston in the Cleobury Mortimer Parish Register, but the area was adjacent to the parish and the will was written by Richard Osland who lived in Cleobury Mortimer.
