Narrative
The photo from ¨National newspaper¨ Relates to a Find that was made when Walter was supervising the laying of telephone cables in London.
They unearthed a Water Main which was said to have been in use till quite recently and consisted of hollowed out tree trunks joined together. (from Les Treneman) Unfortunately have failed to find the cutting or which paper it was in.
Location was Lincoln's Inn Fields, London - Alf Treneman
Alfred remembers it, as Walter cut a piece off and gave it to Alfred, who took it to school, where it was a major talking point in class. - from Alf Treneman 05.09.2011
