that letters testamentary to the estate of Moses Bullock, late
of the township of Concord, Delaware county, deceased, have
been granted to the subscribers, residing in said township.
All persons indebted to the estate of said decedent are
requested to make payment, and those having claims or demands

VALUABLE FARM AT PRIVATE SALE. - The subscribers will sell at
private sale, the FARM, late the property of Moses Bullock,
deceased, situate in Concord township, Delaware county, on the
road leading from West Chester to Wilmington, about eight
miles and a half from the former, and seven and a half from
the latter place, and one mile south of the Philadelphia and
Baltimore Central Railroad, now under construction, containing
about FIFTY ACRES OF LAND, six acres of which are first rate
thriving Timber. The improvements are a good substantial STONE
DWELLING HOUSE, twenty five by thirty two feet, with three
rooms on the first floor, and four on the second, a good
cellar under and piazza in front of the house; kitchen
attached in which there is a well of good water a pump
therein; frame barn, thirty six by forty feet, with stabling
under; wagon house and corn crib, smoke house and all other
out buildings. Also, a TENANT HOUSE, twenty five by thirty
feet, two stories high. There is a large APPLE ORCHARD, and a
variety of cherry, peach and pear trees of well selected fruit
and in full bearing. This farm is beautiful located, the
situation being elevated from which can be seen a large
portion of the surrounding country. It is in a high state of
cultivation, divided into fields of convenient size, under
good fence and watered. It is in a pleasant neighborhood,
convenient to mills, schools and places of worship of all
denominations. Persons wishing to view the property will be
shown the same by applying to either of the subscribers living

sold at public sale, on the premises, on Tuesday, the
twentieth of October, 1857, the following real and personal
property, to wit: - A VALUABLE FARM, containing FIFTY ACRES,
in Concord township, Delaware county, Penna., late the
property of Moses Bullock, deceased, situate on a public road
leading from West Chester to Wilmington, about eight miles and
a half miles from the former, and seven and a half from the
latter place, and about one mile south of the Philadelphia and
Baltimore Central Railroad, now under construction, bounded by
lands of Thomas H. Bullock, Eber Yarnall, Daniel Husband and
others. The improvements are a good and substantial STONE
DWELLING HOUSE, twenty five by thirty two feet, two stories
high, with three rooms on the first floor, and four on the
second, cellared under, and piazza in front, with kitchen
attached, in which there is a well of good water with a pump
therein; a good frame barn, thirty six by forty feet, with
stabling under; wagon house and corn crib, smoke house and
other out buildings. Also, a tenant house, two stories high.
There is a large variety of apple, cherry, peach and pear
trees of well selected fruit, all in full bearing. The land is
in a good state of cultivation, divided into fields of
convenient size, and well watered. This farm is beautifully
situated and commands an extensive view of the surrounding
country, and is a very desirable situation... The sale of the
personal property will commence at one in the
afternoon, on the day above mentioned, and the real estate
will be sold at three in the afternoon of the same

of February, 1858, the following real estate and personal
property, to wit: - A VALUABLE FARM, containing about FIFTY
ACRES, in Concord township, Delaware county, Penna., late the
property of Moses Bullock, deceased, situate on the road
leading from West Chester to Wilmington, about one mile south
of the Philadelphia and Baltimore Central Railroad, now under
construction, bounded by lands of Thomas H. Bullock, Eber
Yarnall and others. The improvements are a substantial STONE
DWELLING HOUSE, 25 by 32 feet, a good frame barn, 36 by 40
feet, with stabling underneath wagon house and corn crib,
smoke house and other out buildings. The land is of good
quality, divided into fields of convenient size and well
watered. This farm is beautifully located, and commands an
extensive view of the surrounding country... The sale of the
personal property will commence at one in the
afternoon, on the day above mentioned, and the real estate
will be sold at three on the same day. Attendance will

On 3 Jan 1811 when Moses was 27, he married Mary McCALL.[5] Born abt 1785 in PA.[24] Mary died ? .

Mary was living with her son, William M. Bullock, and family on the 1860 Census, Concord Twp, Del Co, PA.

9. Thomas H. BULLOCK. Born on 11 Dec 1791 in On homestead farm, Del Co, PA.[5],[6],[25] Thomas H. died in Del Co, PA on 5 Jul 1861; he was 69.[22],[5],[6],[26] [Note: Genealogical Abstracts from Biographical and Genealogical History of the State of Delaware gives death date as 5 Jul 1861, aged 72.]. Buried in St John's Episcopal Cemetery, Concord Twp, Del Co, PA.[22] Occupation: Tanner; Innkeeper of the Lion Tavern at Chadd's Ford, Del Co; Farmer.[6]

"Thomas H. Bullock, fifth son of John and Sarah (Hampton) Bullock and grand-uncle of John Bullock, 3, was born on the old homestead in Delaware county, PA. He was for a number of years a tanner. Afterward he was landlord of the Lion Tavern at Chadd's Ford, Delaware county, and during his management of the hostelry he entertained General Lafayette on the occasion of the visit of the great French general to the Brandywine battlefield. After the death of his father, Thomas H. Bullock returned to the homestead farm and resided there until his death." [26]

NOTICE IS hereby given to the creditors and others interested
in the estate of John Nerritt, late of the township of
Birmingham Delaware County deceased. That the subscribers have
been appointed by the Orphans Court of said County, Auditors
to settle and adjust the rates and proportions of the
remaining assets in the hands of the administrators, due and
payable to the Auditors of said deceased, agreeable to law,
and that the said auditors will meet at the house of THOMAS H. 
BULLOCK, Innkeeper in the township of Birmingham aforesaid in
said County, on 7th day, the 24th of the 12th month next, at
10 o'clock A.M. for the purpose aforesaid when and there the
creditors will exhibit their claims against the estate of said
dec. MOSES PALMER, WILLIAM PAINTER, MICAJAH SPEAKMAN.

Saturday, the 3d of January, 1863, on the premises, the
following described real estate, situate in Concord township,
Delaware county, Pa., on the public road from Wilmington to
West Chester, about equi-distant from each, and about half a
mile from Brandywine Summit Station, on the Philadelphia &
Baltimore Central Railroad, containing Eighty one acres and
seventy perches, and is bounded by lands of John Esery,
William M. Bullock, John Talley, Robert Frame, and others. The
improvements are a good Stone House, cellared under, with 2
rooms on the first floor, and 3 on the next floors. Frame
Barn, with stabling underneath, corn crib, wagon house, spring
house over an excellent spring of water. About six acres of
the above is good woodland; the rest is cleared land, in a
good state of cultivation. There is a good apple orchard, and
a variety of other fruit trees on the place. The above is in a
good neighborhood, convenient to mills, schools, and places of
public worship. Sale to commence at 12 o'clock noon, when

the premises, on MONDAY, the 16th of February inst., all that
valuable farm and tract of land, late the estate of THOMAS H. 
BULLOCK, deceased, situate in Concord township, Delaware
county, on the public road leading from Wilmington to West
Chester, about eight miles from each place, 12 miles from
Media, and 22 from Philadelphia, and half a mile from the
Brandywine Summit Station on the Philadelphia and Baltimore
Central Railroad, containing EIGHTY ONE ACRES and seventy
perches, more or less, bounded by lands of John Esrey, William
M. Bullock, Jehu Talley, Robert Frame and others. The land is
of the best quality in a good state of cultivation, divided
into convenient fields, under good fence, with about six acres
of Woodland. There is upon the premises a good Apple Orchard
and other fruit trees, and a stream of water passes through
the property. The improvements are a STONE HOUSE, 18 by 30
feet, with two rooms and a vestibule on the first floor, and
three rooms on the second and third floors each, with a two
story kitchen attached, 20 by 30 feet, cellared under, and
divided into convenient rooms. There is also on the premises a
Tenant House, 20 by 30 feet, cellar kitchen, with three rooms
above and other out buildings. The above property is
handsomely located within two miles of the Brandywine, and is
in the immediate vicinity of valuable deposits of chrome,
convenient to mills, schools, and places of public worship,
and the neighborhood is among the most thrifty, intelligent
and enterprising in the county. It will positively be sold, as
the subscriber is about changing his business. Call and see
it, as it will be shown by the undersigned residing thereon.

On 4 Mar 1857 when Thomas P. was 26, he first married Sarah (Sallie) A. SEAL, in Philadelphia, PA.[31] Village Record dated March 10, 1857: Marriage At the White Hall Hotel, Philadelphia, on the 4th inst., by Friends' ceremony, in presence of Alderman W. P. Hibberd, Thomas P. Bullock, of Concord township, Delaware county, to Sallie A. Seal, of New Garden, Chester county.

On 13 Sep 1866 when Thomas P. was 35, he second married Clara MAY, in Siloam M. E. Church, Del Co, PA.[32] Delaware County Republican dated Sept 21, 1866: Marriage On the 13th inst., at the parsonage of Siloam M. E. Church by the Rev. J. Dyson, Mr. Thomas Bullock to Miss Clara May, both of Delaware county.

On 16 Jan 1862 when Isaac P. was 29, he married Sarah (Sallie) S. CHEYNEY, in Rockdale Parsonage, St Paul's Church of Concordville, Del Co, PA.[34] Village Record dated Feb 11, 1862: Marriage On the 16th ult., in Rockdale Parsonage, by Rev. John K. Murphy, Mr. Isaac P. Bullock to Miss Sallie S. Cheyney, all of Concord, Delaware county.
x. Moses B.. Born on 27 Sep 1835 in On homestead farm, Del Co, PA.[6],[35] Moses B. died ? . Occupation: Butcher and farmer. On 25 Mar 1881 he moved to Wilmington, DE and was employed as an engineer at various steam plants.[5],[26] Education: Attended common schools of vicinity.[26] Religion: Member of Brandywine M. E. Church.[6]

Military: Moses was a soldier in the war of the Rebellion. On 9 Sep 1861 he enlisted in the 8th Regt. PA Cavalry and served until Jul 1862 when he was discharged at the Washington Hospital on account of general disability. He was a member of Kakohaking Tribe, No. 17, I. O. R. M., and of Brandywine Commandery X. 51, K. of M. In politics he was a Republican. [5], [6], [26]

On 24 Dec 1862 when Moses B. was 27, he married Harriet Mansell WALTER, daughter of George WALTER & Lydia Ann GRUBB, in Rockdale parsonage, St Paul's Church of Concordville, Del Co, PA.[5],[6],[26] By Rev. John K. Murphy. Born on 19 Jun 1843.[18] Harriet Mansell died ? .
