New Castle Co., 26 July 1844. Enlisted in Co., D, 97th PA Volunteers
in the Civil War. After the war returned to DE, carpenter and
mechanic. 1880 established a planning mill, manufacturing packing
boxes and trade in wood and coal. Strong prohibitionist. July
1866 he m. Elizabeth d/o Lee and Mary Weldin, b. New Castle Co....Member
Methodist Church, Harrison Street congregation." [6]

War. [6]
