In later life, Joseph and Hannah Grubb removed to their farm near Newport, Delaware. [37]

On 5 Jul 1838 when William D. was 31, he married Elizabeth H. BULLOCK, daughter of John BULLOCK II & Sarah SHARPLEY, in Marcus Hook, Del Co, PA.[86] William D. Talley married, at dwelling of Rev. Talbot, Marcus Hook, PA, to Elizabeth Bullock, both of Brandywine Hd., DE, Thursday 5 July 1838.

From A History of the Talley Family on the Delaware: "William D. Talley married Elizabeth H. Bullock. She is sister of Jacob Bullock, who married Elizabeth Talley. By these two marriages Elizabeth Bullock became Talley, and Elizabeth Talley became Bullock." [37]
