1806 Poor Rate Book for the whole Parish of 

Chapel en le Frith

I am grateful to John Hume for making this rate book available.  The book contains a list of all the rated properties in Bradshaw Edge, Bowden Edge & Combs Edge - both owners & tenants.  The second half of the book is a (roughly) alphabetical list of all those who had to pay the rate.  Most rate payers in the alphabetical list have been given numbers .  However these can refer to any of the six property lists.  Also there were two pages in the Bowden Edge Land list (after number 110) where the numbering was missed.
