The Town of Northeast lies in the Harlem Valley, north of Amenia, and is the furthest north east town in the county.. Like the other towns in the north or east halves of Dutchess County, it is still very rural. Millerton is the largest community north of Pawling and east of Poughkeepsie/Rhinebeck. Hamlets include: North East Center, Coleman Station, Perry's Corner, Shekomeko, Irondale and Mt. Riga Station.
