Unknown Male related to Winifred Ridley

The man on the right is the father of Winifred Frances Ridley, his name is not noted on her birth certificate nor did she take on his surname. His partner for the child was Winifred Ridley. Family lore tells us that he proposed to Winifred, with her turning him down.

This relationship may place his location as somewhere in Portsea or Portsmouth as this is where Winifred's family was living.

The photo would have been take sometime around World War I as Winifred Frances was born in 1917 in Portsmouth.

Family lore also tells us that he may have lost a leg during the war.

The photo on the right is the only known photo of the man.
