Note that in the IGI of TN almost all of the Mangums are listed as "Mangrums."Issue 36 of the MFB, p 7-8 contains information on Littleberry Mangum who,
until this time, had been seen as a son of Henry Mangum, Jr. This article
notes that Littleberry was the son of Britain Mangum. Apparently Henry Jr had
taken in one or more of Britain's children when he died.Littleberry must have come to Tenn by 1809 since he bought land in Maury on 4
Aug 1809. He lived in Columbia aznd was both a merchant (grocer) land a farmer
Littleberry married Clara JORDON. Clara was buried in Greenwood Cem, Columbia, Maury Co, TN.
