WILLIAM�� MULLINS, came from Dorking, County Surrey, England, his�date ofbirth is not known.
He married, in England, Alice whos last name is believed to have beenPoretiers.
The Mullins family came to New England on the Mayflower in 1620.Thefamily consisted of the parents, William and Alice and their children,Priscilla and Joseph. They also left a grown son and grown daughter inEngland. Priscilla was twenty years old when she came to America. Herlittle brother, Joseph, was several years younger. William, Alice, andJoseph Mullins all died the first winter in the newland. DaughterPriscilla was the lone survivor of the family.
William Mullins died 21 February, 1621. His will shows that he left ason, William, and a married daughter, Sarah Mullins Blunden, in England.William came to New England some time after his father's death, but itappears that he left no descendants. The only proven descendants ofMullins today are through his daughter, Priscilla. Alice died sometimeafter the 5th of April, 1621.
{The following, suposedly, can't be proven but I have found it in severalplaces M.C.S.} William was� descendant of Charlemagne and William theConqueror. The Mullins line itself goes back to Robert de Molines of1013, who entered England with William the Conqueror in 1066.(This isincluded here to state that this has not and suposedly can't be proven.)This will was made after the arrival of the Pilgrims in New England, atthat time considered a part of Virginia. It was probably written 21February, 1621, the day that William Mullins died. A copy was carriedback to England on the Mayflower when it returned. A probate record,which was made 23 July 1621, shows that the former residence of WilliamMullins was at Dorking in County of Surrey. He had left behind twochildren in England, a son, William, and a married daughter, Sarah(Mullins) Blunden.

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN: I comit my soule to God that gave it, and mybodie to the earth from whence it came. Also I give my goddes asfolloweth: That forty pounds in the hand of goodman Woodes I give my wifetenn poundes, my sonne Joseph tenn poundes, my daughter Priscilla tennpoundes, and my eldest sonne tenn poundes. Alsoe I give to my eldestsonne all my debtes, bonds, bills (onelye yt forty poundes excepted inthe handes of goodman Wood.) given as aforesaid with all the stock in hisowne handes. To my eldest daughter I give ten shillinges to be paied outof my sonnes stock. Futhermore that goodes I have in Virginia asfolloweth. To my wife Alice halfe my goodes & to Joseph and priscilla theother halfe equallie to be devided betweene them. Also I have xxj dozenof shoes, and thirteene paire of bootes which I give into the Companieshandes for forty poundes at seven years and if they like them at thatrate. If it be thought to deare as my Overseers shall thinck good. And ifthey like them at that rate at the divident. I shall have nyne shareswherof I give as follo weth: two to my wife, towe to my sonne William,twoe to my sonne Joseph, twoe to my daughter Priscilla, and one to theCompanie. Allsoe if my sonne William will come to Virginia, I give him myshare of land. Furdermore, I give to my twoe Overseers, Mr. John Carverand Mr. Williamson, twenty shillings apeece to see thiis my willperformed, desiringe them that he would have an eye over my wife andchildren, to be as fathers and freindes to them; Alsoe to have a specialleye to my man Robert, who hathe not so approved himselfe as I would heshould have done.
