The Distribution of the Estate of Azel Edgerton

   To the Honorable Court of Probate for the District of Coventry

   The subscribers having been appointed by your Honor distributors on the estate of Azel Edgerton of Coventry within said district deceased having attended to the duties of our appointment

   Respectfully report

   We have distributed and set out the Justin Edgerton son and heir at law of said deceased one piece or tract of land situated in the South Society in said Coventry and is bounded and described as follows – Beginning at stones in the line of Joseph Edgerton’s land then running by said Joseph’s land S. 15¾o W. 35 rods and 19 links to stones in the north line of the Hartford & Providence Rail Road – then by said Rail Road S. 52½o E. 26 rods and 9 links to stones in the line of land set out to the widow of said deceased – then by said widow’s land N. 17¼o E. 37 rods – then N. 70¼o W. 12 rods and 10 links to stones – then N. 16½o E. 7 rods to stones a bound of land set out to Charles – then by said Charles’ land N. 74o W. 14 rods to the first mentioned bound and contains five acres and 42 rods more or less – also a small Black-smith shop standing on the opposite side of the highway from the dwelling-house where the deceased last dwelt. all valued at one hundred dollard being an equal share in the real estate of said deceased.

   We have distributed and set out to Charles Edgerton son of said deceased one piece of land lying on the opposite side of the highway from said dwelling-house – Beginning at stones by said highway a bound of said Joseph Edgerton’s land – then running by said Joseph’s land S. 15¾o W. 48 rods and one link to stones a bound of land set out to Justin – then by said Justin’s land S. 74o E. 14 rods to stones a bound of land set out to the widow – then by said widow’s land N. 16½o E. 8 rods to stones – then N. 38¾o E. 26 rods to stones – then N. 21½o E. 14 rods and 17 links to said highway – then by said highway N. 69o W. 23 rods and 14 links to the first mentioned bound and contains five acres and ninety four rods. valued at one hundred dollars being his equal share in the estate of said deceased.

   We have also distributed and set out to Austin Edgerton son and heir of said deceased one piece or tract of land lying in the Meadow – Beginning on the southerly side of said Rail Road at stones a bound of land set out to Jane – then by said Jane’s land South 14½o W. 18 rods and 9 links to Mount Hope river – then the line follows said river down said stream to said Justin’s land – then by said Justin’s land N. 16o E. 6 rods to a large stump – then running the same corner 4 rods to said rail road – then by said rail road N. 52½o W. 27 rods and 17 links to the first mentioned bound and contains two acres and 48 rods – we have also set to said Austin the building standing a little easterly of the blacksmith shop opposite from the dwelling house – all valued at one hundred dollars being his equal share in the estate of deceased.

   We have distributed and set out to Lorin Edgerton son and heir of said deceased one piece of tract of land as follows.  Beginning at stones by said highway a bound of land set out to Jane – then by said Jane’s land N. 16o E. 8 rods – then N. 8o E. 3 rods the last line runs by said widow’s land – then by said widow’s land S. 75o E. 8 rods and 9 links – then S. 26o E. 5 rods – then S. 61o E. 4 rods and 8 links – then S. 77o W. 4 rods and 19 links to wall on the south side of the Barnyard – then by said wall N. 82o W. one rod – then S. 11o W. 7 rods to said highway – then by said highway N. 68½o W. 14 rods and 22 links to the first mentioned bound and contains one acre and 62 rods – together with all that part of the buildings and privileges thereunto belonging standing thereon except what has been set out to said widow and to Jane – and is valued at one hundred dollars being his full share in said estate.

   We have also distributed and set out to Jane Edgerton daughter and heir of said deceased one tract of land lying on the northerly side of said highway and is thus described.  Beginning at stones by said highway a bound of land set out to Lorin – then by said Lorin’s land N. 16o E. 8 rods to stones a bound of land set out the the widow – then by said widow’s land N. 75o W. 13 rods to stones in the line of Joseph Edgerton’s land – then by said Joseph’s land S. 16o W. 12 rods and 15 links to said highway – then by said highway S. 68½o E. 13 rods and 12 links to the first mentioned bound and contains 144 rods of land.  Also one piece of land lying in the Meadow containing one acre.  Beginning at stones by said rail road a bound of land sold to Norman Babcock – then by said Babcock’s land S. 15o W. 25 rods to said river – then by said river southeasterly to land set out to Austin – then by said Austin’s land N. 14½o E. 18 rods and 9 links to said rail road – then by said rail road N. 52½o W. 8 rods and 5 links to the first mentioned bound – Also the south room or parlor in said house with a privilege of passing thro the kitchen to the well and of impress and egress at the several outside doors. all valued at one hundred dollars being her equal share in the estate of said deceased.
