The household of Calvin Edgerton was again recorded in the 1860 Federal Census
of Coventry, Chenango County, New York (pg. 407; dwelling #2195; family #295;
enum. August 22, 1860), as follows:
At the time of the 1870 Federal Census, Calvin Edgerton
was recorded in the household of his son-in-law, Cyrus Smith, in Coventry,
Chenango County, New York (pg. 79; dwelling #236; family #237; enum. June 24, 1870).
He was enumerated as “Calvin Edgerton, aged 72, born in New York “. Calvin Edgerton died at Coventry, New York on April
20, 1875. He was buried at the Chapel
Hill Cemetery, where a joint monument contains the following inscriptions for
Calvin and his second wife, Eunice:
