The family of Charles Edgerton was enumerated in the 1900 Federal Census on June 4, 1900 in Moro Precinct (Moro City), Sherman County, Oregon (dwelling #35; family #36).  Charles himself was listed as the head of the household, but it is very likely that he was away at the time of this enumeration, having previously been recorded in Mehama Precinct.  This would account for some of the discrepencies of dates regarding him in this latter enumeration.  The complete household was listed as follows:

According to the above census record, Martha was the mother of six children, all of whom were still living.  Charles’ occupation was listed as “butcher”, and the four elder children were noted as “at school”.  Harry’s occupation was listed as “Rail road agent”.
