The following obituary notice for Rev. Clinton Fisk Edgerton was printed in the The Flint Journal on Monday, March 11, 1968 (transcript courtesy of Diane Hosler):

 

“EDGERTON, Rev. Clinton – 8020 Holly Rd., Grand Blanc, formerly of Millington, age 71, died Sunday, March 10, 1968.  Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday at the Millington Methodist Church, Rev. Richard Turner and Rev. Richard Lobb officiating.  Burial in Allenton, Michigan.  Rev. Edgerton will be at the Hill Funeral Home, Grand Blanc until 10 A.M. Tuesday.  Prayer services at 8 this evening, Rev. William McDonald and Rev. George Marshall officiating.  Rev. Edgerton was a retired minister of Detroit Conference of Methodist churches.  He entered the Methodist protestant church in 1923, retired in 1962.  During his ministry he served many churches in this area including Otisville, Bancroft, Linden, Columbine, Halsey and Diamond churches.  Surviving are: wife, Grace (Martz); daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Edith) Perry of Grand Blanc; 2 grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Arthur Esckilsen of Cass City; 2 brothers, Clarence of Rochester and Martin of Oxford; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.  Arrangements by Hill Funeral Home, Grand Blanc.”
