“Helen Pauline "Mary" Edgerton

 

Services for Helen Pauline "Mary" Edgerton, 92, of Stillwater, Okla., formerly of Willoughby and Eastlake, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Davis Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave.,

 

Mrs. Edgerton died April 8, 2006, in Stillwater, Okla.

 

Born Jan. 9, 1914, on a farm near Chardon to Lester and Helen Cutts, she was the oldest of four children.

 

She was schooled in Chardon and Mentor. She married Richard Anderson in 1932, in Willoughby and her only child, Richard Donald Anderson was born in 1933. After the death of her first husband in 1966, she was married to Art Troscosky from 1969, until his death in 1982. She was then married to Earl Edgerton from 1989 until his death in 1999. She lived in Willoughby and Eastlake until 2002, when she moved to Stillwater, Okla., to live with her daughter-in-law due to failing health.

 

Mary Helen was a long time member of Willoughby United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star Willoughby Chapter 202, Galilee White Shrine 41, in Willoughby, and the Twelvettes (Ladies High Twelve). She enjoyed bowling, dancing, playing cards, watching television, and weekly visits to the hairdresser.

 

Mrs. Edgerton was employed at the former Ohio Rubber Company for 35 years.

 

Survivors are her sister, Oral Louise Wilken of Lantana, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Billie Karen Anderson of Stillwater, Okla.; granddaughter, Diane Sue (Ron) Contreraz of Painesville; grandsons, Richard Todd (Stephanie) Anderson of San Antonio, Texas, and Donald Brent (April) Anderson of Frisco, Texas; stepgrandson, James Farris (Barbara) Crane of San Antonio, Texas; stepgrandaughter-in-law, Cherie Crane of Houston, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Emma, Jamie and Luke Anderson of San Antonio, Texas; stepgreat-grandchildren, Carl, Billy Gene and Cheryl Crane of Houston, Texas, and Farrin, Jimmy and Karen J. Crane of San Antonio, Texas. She also leaves many good friends, especially Ed and Dorothy Dietz of Mentor and Marlene Platek of Lakewood.

 

Her first husband, Richard Anderson; second husband, Art Troscosky; third husband, Earl Edgerton; son, Richard Donald Anderson; parents; sister, Alberta Blossinger; brother, Bobby Cutts; two infant grandsons; and stepgrandson, William Joseph Crane, are deceased.

 

Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Warren Campbell-Gaston of Willoughby United Methodist Church will officiate at services. Burial will be in Willoughby Cemetery.”
