The following obituary for Mrs. Edith Mae (Edgerton) Perry was published in The Flint Journal on Wednesday, January 16, 2008:

 

“PERRY, Edith Mae – Age 82, of Grand Blanc, died Monday, January 14, 2008 at her home.  Mrs. Perry was born March 28, 1925 in St. Clair County, Michigan the daughter of Clinton and Grace Edgerton.  Edith was a member of Halsey United Methodist Church, the U.M.W. and adult fellowship at church.  She enjoyed her sewing, embroidery and crossword puzzles.  On October 4, 1952 Edith Edgerton married Stanley Perry and her survives her.  Also surviving are son, Paul Edward (Brundilde) Perry of Duluth, Georgia, daughter, Ardith J. (Dar) Nielsen of Flint, step-grandchildren, Nicole and Kiel Nielsen, adopted grandchildren, Clay and Wade Atherton.  Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother Ellsworth Edgerton.  Friends may visit the family from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Hill Funeral Home.  Mrs. Perry will lie in state at church from 10 a.m. Thursday until time of service.  The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Halsey United Methodist Church.  Pastor Hal Phillips will officiate.  Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery.  The family would like to thank Hospice Home and Health caregivers and all of our most caring neighbors.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Halsey United Methodist Church Building Fund.”
