“MRS. MYRTLE L. EDGERTON – Mrs. Myrtle Laird Edgerton, wife of E. W. Edgerton, President of the Keystone Mattress & Spring Bed Company in Manchester, Allegheny, died at her home, 702 Taylor avenue, Allegheny, yesterday morning of pneumonia.  Mrs. Edgerton for the past three weeks had been nursing her father-in-law, Ezekiel Edgerton, aged 69 years, who has been suffering from a general breakdown due to a complication of diseases.  While nursing her father-in-law, Mrs. Edgerton contracted a cold which developed into pneumonia last Wednesday and caused her death.  As a result of the death Mr. Edgerton’s family and physician had little hope that he would live throughout last night.  Mr. Edgerton’s wife, Mrs. Martha Edgerton, the mother-in-law of the deceased, died about a month ago.  Mrs. Myrtle L. Edgerton was born near Ashtabula, Ohio, December 19, 1867, and about five years ago came to Allegheny from Cleveland.  Deceased was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Allegheny, and is survived by her husband and a young son and a daughter.”
