According to the above census record, Amelia was the mother of two children, one of whom was still living.  George’s occupation was listed as “farm mchry salesman”, and Bernice was noted as “at school”.  The household also included three “roomers”, Ole Larson, Ole Nelson and James Johnson.  The family was residing at 806 West Oakland Avenue.
