The following obituary for Mrs. Gladys Leota (Edgerton) Gould was published in the Flint Journal on May 17, 1956 (pg. 55, abstract courtesy of Flora McRae):

 

“Gould – Gladys Gould, 3224 W. Grand Blanc Rd., age 51, died Wednesday, May 16, 1956, at McLaren General Hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, May 19, 1956, from Clarence W. Hill Funeral home, Grand Blanc, Rev. Winston Thomas officiating.  Burial in Crestwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Mrs. Gould will be at the funeral home.  She was born in Lapeer, Mich., October 17, 1904.  She lived in Rankin the last 33 years.  Mrs. Gould was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Swartz Creek chapter, O.E.S.  Surviving are:  husband, John; 2 daughters, Mrs. Betty Anderson of Flint, Mrs. Norene Routson of Linden; 4 grandchildren; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.”
