Dr. James Ives Edgerton was listed in the 1905 Medical Directory of the City of New
York (pg. 47) as follows: “EDGERTON, JAMES IVES, 36
by appt. ; Sun, 9 to 10 only ; tel. 5825 38th. Jefferson, 1894. Mem. Co. Soc; Med. Ass'n G. N. Y.; Soc. Alumni N. Y. Hosp.; Soc. Relief Wid. & Orph. Med. Men; Phys. Mut. Aid Ass'n; Ass't Gynec Poly- chnic Hosp.” The following entry for Dr. James Ives Edgerton is found in the Alumni Record of Jefferson Medical College (Vol. 116, No. 26; pg. 2883): “James Ives Edgerton ® New York; Jefferson Medical College of Philadelphia, 1894; at one time adjunct professor of gynecology, New York Polyclinic Medical School and Hospital, New York ; fellow of the American College of Surgeons ; formerly surgeon, New York Polyclinic Medical School and Hospital, and St. Elizabeth's Hospital ; aged 70 ; died, May 8, in the New York Hospital.” Original Source Documents: Death Certificate
