record, Emerett was the mother of four children, two of whom were still
living. Jarvis’ occupation was listed
as “farmer”. At the time of this
census, Jarvis and Emerett were residing adjacent to their son, George M.
Edgerton, whose household was enumerated just after them on the census roll
