Julius B. Edgerton was married on August 22, 1882 at Chicago, Illinois to Miss Elizabeth (“Lizzie”) Howell Goode, daughter of John and Kate Goode of Chicago.  According to the Cook County marriage certificate (#64406), Julius was aged 24, a resident of Leadville, Colorado, and Lizzie was aged 23, a resident of Chicago.  The ceremony was performed by William H. Parker, a Baptist minister.

Julius and Lizzie resided in Chicago at 1176 Campbell Avenue.  They apparently did not have any children.

Mrs. Elizabeth Howell (Goode) Edgerton died at Chicago, Illinois on April 12, 1890.  According to the Cook County death certificate (#3264), she was aged 30 years, 11 months and 3 days and had died at 1176 Campbell Avenue in Chicago (Ward 12).  The certificate also lists her birthplace as Buffalo, New York and gives the place of burial as Rose Hill Cemetery.

The following obituary notice for Mrs. Lizzie H. (Goode) Edgerton appeared in The Chicago Tribune on April 13, 1890:
