The following obituary for Leo James Edgeton was printed in The Pilot Independent (Walker, Minnesota) on February 26, 1999:

 

“Leo James Edgeton, , He was born Oct. 10, 1912 in Quasqueton, Iowa to Frank and Evangeline Edgeton.

 

He is survived by his wife, Lois; five sons, Leo (Bev) of Hoyt Lakes, Minn., Lyle (Jan) of Deer River, Russell (Glenda) of Eagan, Minn., Bernard (Kathy) of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Richard (Carol) of Pine River; one daughter, Kay Weiss of Baxter, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by one daughter and two grandchildren.

 

Services were held Friday, Feb. 19 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pine River with Father Edward Foster officiating. Burial was in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Pine River.

 

The Northland Funeral Home in Pine River handled arrangements.”
