Mark Edward
Armstrong (1967 – 2013) We are very saddened to announce the death of Mark Edward Armstrong,
a principal contributor and partner in the Edgerton Database. Mark was an avid genealogist and an invaluable
colleague in our joint Edgerton research.
Mark fought valiantly against a congenital Liver Disease. Obituaries and Memorials: Mark Edward Armstrong, 46, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in Oklahoma
City, Ok. Mark fought valiantly against a congenital Liver Disease diagnosed
in April 2010. Born August 1, 1967 to Richard Porter and Alberta Jean
(Garvey) Armstrong in Rutland, Vermont, Mark has been the Principal Pianist
and Vocal Coach at the Tulsa Opera for the past 11 years. Raised in
Wallingford, VT, Mark graduated from Mill River Union High School in 1985. He
went on to receive a Bachelor/Master degree from Potsdam College and further
studied music at the University Of Michigan School Of Music, earning a 2nd
Master's degree in 1994. Mark was a dedicated and exceptional musician,
influencing many. He thoroughly enjoyed coaching and mentoring at the Tulsa
Youth Opera while at the same time working with many world renowned vocalists
and musicians. The lives that he has touched cannot be numbered and he is
admired and loved by many. |
