The household also included two servants, Louis Haukman and Henry Retin Konan. At the time of this census, Rodney was residing adjacent to his elder brother, Philo, whose household was enumerated just previously on the census roll. (dwelling 6; family #6). follows:
According to the above record, Elizabeth was the
mother of seven children, six of whom were still living. Under occupations, Rodney was listed as
“farmer”, Walter as a “farm laborer”, and Josephine as a “stenographer”. Everett was noted as “at school”. At the time of this census, Rodney’s eldest
son, Raymond G., was living in Corning, Steuben County, New York, where he
was listed as a boarder in the household of John Harper. Raymond was enumerated there as a “cooper,
