According to the above census record, Libbie was the mother of two children, both of whom were still living.  Rollin’s occupation was listed as “commercial hardware trav.”, and the three children were each noted as “at school”.  The family was residing at 515 Twelfth Street, in the same dwelling as John and Mae Cummings.  The two “daughters” recorded in this census (Abbie and Eveline) were actually Rollin’s step-daughters – that is, the children of his second wife, Elizabeth (“Libbie”) Cooper.

Edgerton.
