The following obituary for Stewart Edgerton was published in the Livonia Observer on August 18, 2005:

 

“STEWART EDGERTON 

 

Passed away August 5th, he was 86.  Born in Manhattan he grew up in Madison Wisconsin.  A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, he also earned a Masters Degree in Finance from the University of Chicago.  He served as a Major in the U.S. Army during World War II.  He retired in 1984 from Hygrade Food Products.  As an avid golfer, he spent much of his time at his home in Naples Florida.  He is survived by his wife Dottie, and his children Gordon Edgerton (Cindy), Bruce Edgerton (Verna), Bob Henshaw (Marcia), John Henshaw (Celeste), Don Henshaw (Mary), Linda Reid (Brad), Rick Appleby (Kathy), Dave Appleby (Colleen), Joan Dilcher (Bob) and 16 grandchildren.  A celebration of his life will take place at Northminster Presbyterian Church at 11:00 am August 18th.  Memorial contributions may be made to The National Parkinsons Foundation or Northminster Presbyterian Church memorial fund.”
