William Halsey Edgerton, son of Halsey Charles Edgerton and Ada Lorraine Spencer Sniffen

William Halsey Edgerton spent his childhood in Hanover, NH.  He graduated from Tabor Academy and Dartmouth College, additional study at Harvard Graduate School of Architecture and Harvard Business School. Employed in a series of real estate and construction positions, then seven years with McGraw-Hill. Founded and then ran Construction Publishing Co. for nine years.  Founded and ran Mechanical Music Center in Darien, CT, a specialist antique business.  Responsible for two luxury residential real estate projects in Darien.  Wine appraiser and consultant for ten years. Published four books and presented three Metropolitan Opera broadcast intermission features.  Chairman of Darien Town Hall Building Committee; former President and Trustee of the Musical Box Society International; founder and Artistic Director of New England Lyric Operetta since 1985.

 

Ann Omohundro Switzer, daughter of Frank Switzer and Mamie Omohundro

 

born:    December 4, 1933, Harrisonburg, VA (living)

 

Ann Switzer grew up in Harrisburg, VA.  She attended Hollins College and Katherine Gibbs School in Boston.  Employed by IBM for thirteen years in various secretarial and administrative assistant positions.  Volunteered at the Southwestern Connecticut Rehab Center and in the Guidance Department of the Darien High School (DHS).  Set up the DHS College Career Center and was chosen DHS Volunteer of the Year. Very active as a Board Member of the New England Lyric Operetta, Inc.
