I have a very extensive database on the PURPLE family and am seeking
information on JOHN PURPLE son of Edward PURPLE and Mary COOK,
grandson of Edward PURPLE and Hannah ACKLEY. He was born 14 JUN 1718
and had a brother Elias and half-brother Edward and half sister,Mary
(twins)by Edward's first wife who died shortly after the twins
birth.There is a story that John had seven sons who were in a
shipwreck off Long Island with six of them surviving. |

in East Haddam, CT, d. 30 Mar 1936 in Hartford, CT, bur., Cedar Hill
Cemetery, Hartford, CT, m. Jennie Watkins, b. 23 Jan 1868 Plymouth,
CT, bur. Zion Hill Cemetery, Hartford, CT. I would like to find
the parents of both Charles H. Bradley and Jennie Watkins and all
pertinent information on them. I have found information that suggests
that Charles H. Bradley's father may have been the Charles H.
Bradley who married Arabella Sophia Tillotson. Any information would

We're looking for any information on John Church, son of John Jr.
Church and Lydia Chapman, b. Nov. 22, 1737 (East Haddam Vital Records
from Barbour, pre 1852 - C). The assumption is that he married
"Hannah" circa 1755-1756, and migrated to Stonington, CT,
from thence to Petersburgh, NY in 1780 with the Eliphalet Stewart
(son of Lt. William Stewart of Stonington) family. John and Hannah
Church's children were: John Church (1757-), Hannah Church (1763-?),
Elizabeth Church(1765-?) and Nathaniel Church (1759-). |
