About William Hooper Caffey:

Hooper and Mary (Shelcott) Caffee, both natives of North Carolina who removed to Montgomery County, the former a wealthy planter and owner of the paper that was afterwards merged into the "Montgomery Advertiser

Hooper Caffey's estate is recorded in the Record of Estates, Volume 3, pages 354-357, Montgomery Co, Al
John Caffey, Hooper's brother was guardian to Hooper's children after he died.
