Obituary Notice:
Funeral Service Held For Prominent Farmer Funeral services were
held at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning at the Liberty church for S. K. Patton, well-known farmer living
near Phillipsburg, who died Monday. The services were conducted by the Rev. Wid McClanahan. Interment
was in Lonesome Hill cemetery. Mr. Patton is survived by his widow and eight children. They are: Homer
of Lebanon, Ase of Phillipsburg and Lawrence of Springfield, Mesdames Della McFarland of Conway, Maggie
Tucker of Phillipsburg, Nora Kitchen of Jefferson City, Emma Green of Mounds, Okla., and Ora. Moye of
Lebanon, All of whom were at his bedside when he passed away. Mr. Patton was born in 1854. He was married
to Mary Ann Caffey.
