About Louie Clement Caffey:

BIG SPRING - L.C. Caffey, 71, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, in a Lubbock hospital.

He was born July 5, 1929, in Brownwood and was a longtime resident of Big Spring. An Army veteran, he was a saddle bronc rider and a commercial bus driver.

Survivors include his wife, Sara Caffey of Big Spring; five sons, Donald Caffey of Houston, David Caffey, Marvin Boyles, Ruben Gonzales, All of Big Spring and Albert Gonzales of Midland; eight daughters, Peggy Ripowski of Houston, Clara Woodward of California, Tammy Fire of North Carolina, Chris Cook of Oklahoma, Melinda Gonzales of Odessa, Sally Burt of Big Spring, Grace Rodriguez of Coahoma and Jonetta Tate of Big Spring; 26 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews
