About Edna V. Daniel:
DEXTER - Edna V. Caffey, 101, formerly of Winfield, died Feb. 10, 2000, at Grouse Valley Manor in Dexter.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Swisher-Taylor & Morris Memorial Chapel in Winfield. The Revs.
Diane Massey and Gilbert Daniel will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call
at the funeral home from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday. A memorial has been established with Grouse Valley Manor
in Dexter and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
Caffey was born March 8, 1898, in rural
Dexter, to Elmer and Ida (Sauers) Daniel. On Aug. 23, 1937, she married Paul W. Caffey in Kansas. He
died Sept. 4, 1948. After Mr. Caffey's death, she moved to 1403 Olive in Winfield and ran an ironing
and day care service out of her home. A stepson, Roy Caffey, preceded her in death. Survivors include
a sister, Ruby Callison, Winfield; and many nieces and nephews.
