About James Donald Eiland:
JAMES DONALD EILAND. Services are Saturday for James Donald Eiland, who died Saturday at his home in
Santa Cruz. He was 80. A native of Fowler, Mr. Eiland had lived in Santa Cruz for the past 26 years.
He retired after 48 years with Pacific Gas & Electric Co. He was a past master of the the Los Banos
F&AM Lodge 312, and a member of the San Jose Bodies Scotish Rite, the Islam Temple Shrine, the Santa
Cruz Shrine Club, Paradise Park Men's Club, the Santa Cruz SIRS and was past president of the Santa
Cruz RV Club. He is survived by his wife Gertrude Eiland of Santa Cruz; his son, James W. Eiland of
Fresno; his step-daughter, Louise L. Lyons of Turlock; his sister, Dorothy Feaver of Selma; his brother,
Charles M. Eiland of Simi Valley; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Paradise
Park Masonic Club Social Hall. A private interment will be held in East Union Cemetery in Manteca.
