About John Louis Urban Jr:
John Urban, Jr.
A 50 year resident of Sugar Land, John L. Urban Jr. died last Thrusday at his home
at 131 6th Street. He was 79., Services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Garmany & Co. Chapel in
Rosenberg with Rev. Haskin V. Little officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn cemetery.
He was a
retired foreman of Imperial Sugar Company. Urban is survived by one son, Edwin Urban of Sugar Land;
three daughters, Mrs. Mary Sands and Mrs. Margaret David, both of Rosenberg, and Mrs. Lillian Grohman
of Sugar Land; two brothers, Frank Urban of Rosenberg and Joe Urban of LaGrance; one sister, Mrs. Albina
Marosko of Houston; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
