About Earl B Caffey:
Earl B. Caffey, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away into the loving
hands of God on October 18, 2005 after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born September 15, 1926
to Earl and Effie Caffey in Elgin, Tx.
Earl served in the Navy for 2 years on the USS Mount Olympus
during WWII. In 1946 he married his loving wife Jean. He and his wife lived in Pasadena for 50 years.
Earl worked as a commercial salesman in the Tire Industry where he retired in 1991. In his early years,
he loved to play ball. He was active in youth programs where he coached baseball and football. He was
a member of AARP and Classic Club of Pasadena. Also he was a member of the VFW, The American Legion,
and Memorial Baptist Church in Houston. Earl loved to fish and camp with his family. Earl had a wonderful
sense of humor and loved his family immensely.
He is preceded in death by his oldest son, David
Caffey; infant son, Don Earl Caffey; brother, Charlie Joe Caffey. He is survived by his wife of 59 years,
Imogene; sons, John and wife Jackie Caffey, Troy and wife Sally Caffey; daughter, Brenda and son-in-law
Mike Ivey; daughter-in-law, Joan Caffey; grandchildren, Tamara, Dustin, Jennifer, Lisa, David Jr., Marc,
Bryan, and Sam; great-grandchildren, Aaron, and Ali; sister, Jerry Thompson and husband Gene; many
nieces and nephews.
