About Charles Monroe (C M) (Red) Caffey:
Rockdale Reporter, Thur., 18 Jan 2001 PASADENA ? Funeral services for C.M. "Red" Caffey, 74, were
held Monday, Jan. 15, 2001 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Deer Park and a graveside service was
held at 4 p.m. in the Salty Cemetery outside of Rockdale. He died Friday, Jan. 12. Mr. Caffey was a
Seabee in the U.S. Navy during World War II stationed at Okinawa.
He was preceded in death by
his wife of 49 years Dottie "Lorene" Caffey and brothers, W. C. "Claude" and J. W. "Dub" Caffey. Surviving
are: Daughter, Jackie Lynn Bennington and husband Eric; son, Curtis Mathew Caffey; sisters, Audrey Hughes,
Edith Beyer and Sybil Popham; brothers, C. C. "Buck", Lester Ray, Bobby, and Billy Caffey; sister-in-law,
Fay Ewing; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
