About Bobby Gene Eiland:
Bobby Gene Eiland Tuesday, March 23, 2010 2:23 PM CDT Bobby Gene Eiland resided near Ozark, Arkansas,
passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the Turner Memorial Hospital in Ozark. He was born December
22, 1952 in Charleston to William Jesse Eiland and Emma Jean (Hunter) Eiland. He was 57 years old. Bobby
was a retired service repairman for CenturyTel Telephone Company for 31 years. He was a member of CWA
Local Union # 6171, a former volunteer fireman for the Charleston Fire Department, coached several years
for the Charleston Little League, was an avid hunter & fisherman, and was a very proud 1970 graduate
of Charleston High School.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 20th, at the Brotherton
Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Richard Shotzman officiating. Interment will be at
the Mayberry Cemetery in Central City, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in
Charleston.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; two sons, Paul Eiland & wife Allison of Bentonville
and Thad Eiland & wife Natalie of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two step-sons, Adam Yates and Dustin Yates, both
of Ozark; his father and mother, Bill & Emma Eiland of Charleston; one sister, Rita Johnson & husband
Steve of Hurst, Texas; two brothers, Billy Eiland & wife Gloria of Charleston and Jimmy Eiland & wife
Monica of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren, Mason Bryant Eiland of Bentonville, Logan Yates, Larissa
Yates, Hunter Yates, Austin Yates, Sean Yates, all of Ozark and Rhylie Yates of Florida.
Pallbearers
were Pete Strozier, Larry Harris, Evan Eiland, Josh Eiland, Van Tooley, Dalton Johnson, Dave Oberste,
and Billy Dean Hamilton.
Honorary pallbearers were the 1970 Graduating Class of Charleston High
School.
