Samuel Lamar Summers, 17, of 334 North Boradway, died in General Hospital at 10:15 Monday nigh of a kidney ailment. He had been ill for two years.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Sarapety Baptist Church in Webster county, near Stewart, by the Rev. Jim Allen, Baptist minister of Greenville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. National Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born at Stewart, Miss., he had lived in Greenvile for several years. He was a student inthe eighth grade at E. E. Bass Junior High School here when he was taken in ill.
He leaves his mother, Mrs. Inez Eiland of Greenvjille; a sister, Mrs. Johnny C. Weeks of Jackson; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Rasberry, and Mrs. Minnie Summers, all of Stewart

$5,000 Suit is Filed in Wreck (The Delta Democrate-Times, Greenville, Ms - Aug 2, 1959)
A suit for $5,000 damages, brought by Jack and Inez Eiland, and naming Julius K. Acy and Anne Darden as defendants, was on file Saturday in Washington county circuit court for trial at the January term.
The suit is for personal injuries claimed to have been sustained by Jack and Inez Eiland, in a collision of a Mercury automobile driven by Acy and owned by Ann Darden, who was a passenger in the car at the time, and a Plymouth car driven by Jack Eiland, a mile east of the intersection of Highways 82 and 3, at a side road.
The suit, filed by attorneys Lyson, Davis and Cook of Indianola alleges negligency on the part of a defendant, resulting in the collision in which Jack and Inez Eiland were injured and their car demolished.
