ROCKDALE Alice Brown, 90, of Rockdale died Monday, Feb. 21, in a Temple
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with
the Rev. John D. Stanislaw officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.
Brown was born on Feb. 8, 1921, in the Duncan community in Milam County to John and Rosa Eiland Drummond.
She married Joe Brown on May 18, 1938, in Sharp. She was a life-long resident of Milam County. She was
a homemaker. She was a member of New Salem Home Demonstration Club and the Sunshine and Shadow Quilting
Club, both in Rockdale. She was a member of Tracy Methodist Church in the Tracy community, and taught
Sunday school there for many years. She was preceded in death by a grandson.
her husband of Rockdale; two daughters, Carole Derrick of Mingus and Coty Jo Love of Sharp; three grandchildren;
nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
