About Ray Alexander Tucker:
Rockdale Reporter, Thur., 31 May 2001 CAMERON: Ray Alexander Tucker, 80, of Cameron died
Wednesday, May 23, 2001, in a Temple hospital. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 25,
at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Dr. Dan Darby and Rev. William Angel officiating.
Burial followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron.
A retired farmer, Mr. Tucker was born June
10, 1920, in Thorndale to Walter and Maggie Caffey Tucker. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a
member of Edwin Hardy American Legion Post No. 9, the Disabled American Veterans and First United Methodist
Church of Cameron. Mr. Tucker was married to Ruth (Pansy) Elliott for over 58 years.
Preceding
him in death were a grandson, James Keratsopoulos; five brothers, Rufus Tucker, Dooley Tucker, Bowie
Tucker, Murrell Tucker and Howard Tucker; and a sister, Verlie Ashley. Survivors are his wife, Ruth
(Pansy) Tucker of Cameron; a daughter, Linda Tucker Keratsopoulos of Georgetown; two brothers, James
(Red) Tucker of Cameron and Johnnie Tucker of Enid, Ok; two sisters; Sudie Cass and Mary Ruth Vybiral,
both of Cameron; a grandson, Terence A. Keratsopoulos; a granddaughter, Teri Keratsopoulos; and two
great-grandchildren, Nicole and Nikolas Keratsopoulos.
