CARDWELL, Auburn C. of Bangs. Age 66. Died 7/1967 (Sunday) (in paper 7/27/1967) in a Bangs nursing home after a long illness. Services held (Tuesday) in Stevens Memorial Chapel. Burial in Coleman Cemetery. He was BORN 12/11/1900 in Salty. Married to Ethel Day on 1/20/1923 and lived in Coleman County most of the time. He was a retired oil driller and a member of the Methodist Church. SURVIVORS: Wife, Ethel Cardwell of Bangs; 4 daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Flippen and Mrs. Alta Schuder, both of San Angelo, Mrs. Marjorie Sheffield of Grosvenor and Mrs. Betty Stephens of Texarkana, AR.; sister, Mrs. Callie Hopkins of Austin; 4 brothers, Alex Cardwell of Modesto, Ca., Arch Cardwell of Temple, Will Cardwell of Boerger and Max Cardwell of Rockdale; 12 grandchildren.
